Amazon Web Services

AWS is a secure cloud services platform, offering scalable computing power, database storage, content delivery along with a range of other functionality to help continue to grow with their customers. Fabric exclusively uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host its cloud infrastructure.

AWS Security & Operational Processes

Amazon Web Services (AWS) delivers a scalable cloud computing platform with high availability and dependability, providing the tools that enable customers to run a wide range of applications. Helping to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customers' systems and data is of the utmost importance to AWS, as is maintaining customer trust and confidence.

This document includes an overview of AWS's data centre controls, including:

100s of siloed systems and processes
Fire Detection and Suppresssion

Load-balanced site failover

*AWS uses the techniques detailed in NIST 800-88 (“Guidelines for Media Sanitization”) as part of the decommissioning process. **Core applications are deployed in an N+1 configuration, so that in the event of a data center failure, there is sufficient capacity to enable traffic to be load-balanced to the remaining sites.
