Fabric Ships MCP Servers Across the Product Line

Fabric today announced Model Context Protocol (MCP) server availability across its product portfolio, making Xytech, Origin Studio, and Origin Insights operable by autonomous agents and any MCP-compatible client under enterprise OAuth governance.

Xytech X2 MCP - Generally available

The Xytech X2 MCP server exposes Xytech's full operations surface to agents: media orders, resource scheduling and availability, jobs, timecards, and transmission workflows. OAuth access is scoped to the individual tool level, letting enterprises delegate narrow, auditable operational authority. An agent can be granted permission to create media orders but not approve timecards, or to read schedules but not modify them.

Origin Studio MCP - Generally available

A single unified server spanning Origin Studio and Origin Nexus. Agents query and manage source-of-truth title metadata, catalog records, credits, availability, and deliveries, with OAuth rights dictating tool access per identity. Integration partners are provisioned as governed Studio tenants through Auth0 organizations.

Origin Insights MCP - Generally available, now OAuth-based

The Origin Insights MCP server provides natural-language, programmatic access to Fabric's market intelligence graph: streaming availability, pricing and plans, demand signals, Pay TV, consumer surveys, and live streaming data. Over 1.5 billion data points across 1,000+ services in 249 countries. Consumption is usage-based, scaling with agent workloads.

Built on an established machine surface

The MCP servers sit alongside Fabric's existing integration stack: Xytech REST API v3 with machine-readable schemas and webhooks, the Origin Studio REST API, the Nexus enrichment API, markdown and llms.txt documentation, RBAC, audit logging, and ISO/IEC 27001-certified security. Agent operability and enterprise governance are the same feature, not a trade-off.

Availability through partners

Fabric MCP servers will also be reachable through partner agent platforms and marketplaces, extending governed access to Fabric capabilities wherever agents are orchestrated.
