The possibility of subscribing to an Ad-Supported Subscription Video on Demand plan is not yet widespread across the LATAM region. BB Media explored the propensity of Latin Americans to adopt this type of subscription.
According to the data, more than 60% of respondents would be willing to do so, citing the main reason for their choice as the possibility of reducing spending on this type of entertainment. While the vast majority would subscribe to this type of plan, it is crucial for them that advertisements do not interrupt the content, as a matter of fact, 42% of users stated that they would subscribe to a plan with ads only if the ads play before the content begins.
For those willing to accept interruptions during content playback, the majority (61%) indicated that if interruptions are short, they would not mind if they are frequent, while a better percentage (39%) stated that they would prefer fewer interruptions even if they are longer.
